This trailer follows a retired government agent as his ‘ordinary’, domestic, life gradually unravels back into the world he tried to leave behind. The trailer begins with a slow morning routine montage that establishes normality and shows the protagonist completing everyday tasks with his wife, reinforcing the idea that he has moved on from his past life in government service. However, this calm atmosphere is disrupted through subtle hints of tension, such as the breaking news heard through Alexa which leads to the protagonist being called back into duty. As the trailer progresses, the relationship between the two protagonists becomes central with rising suspicion and conflict, ultimately revealing that both characters may be hiding lethal secrets from one another. The final moments end on ambiguity, with both characters pointing guns at each other which leaves the audience questioning what will happen next and emphasises the high-stakes action narrative.
