Possible Film Titles for My Action Film

After looking at existing film names from the action genre and creating a rough storyline for my own narrative, I have come up with a few different possible names for my film.

• 'The Final Mission' - It is a powerful and catchy title which creates mystery for the audience as they assume the protagonist has completed missions before and that this will be his last final push at saving the day
• 'The Returning Soldier' - Highlights to the audience that the protagonist used to be a soldier or someone in the military. Additionally, due to the slight description, the audience assume he hasn’t been in action for some time
• 'When Duty Calls' - Creates mystery for the audience as they suspect something bad has happened which has led to the protagonist being called back for duty. Additionally, it is a punchy and powerful title and the description suggests to the audience that the protagonist didn’t expect to be called back. It also has a slight war tone which creates excitement for the audience as they expect action
• 'Unfinished Duty' - This creates enigma for the audience as the description suggests the protagonist didn’t complete his mission last time or has one final thing to do before he can finish and bring an end to the life-threatening missions he goes on
• 'Mission Reborn' - This title suggests to the audience that the film follows the protagonist having another go at a mission because he didn’t finish it last time, something prevented him from completing it; or, it was an operation with different people years ago, and it needs to be re-initiated
• 'The Last Battle' - This powerful title creates excitement as the audience expect thrilling action throughout as the description suggests this is the last time the protagonist will go out to ‘battle’, therefore he will put all his efforts into it
• 'The Final Call' - This is also a powerful and memorable title as the audience assume it is the final time that the protagonist has to do something which he may be called to do out of nowhere, when he had moved on in his life and become domesticated
• 'Recalled' - Short and punchy, single-word title which emphasises to the audience that the protagonist is being called back into his old lifestyle for something possibly urgent
• 'The Comeback' - Punchy and creates mystery as the audience have to wait to see who has to come back and what they will have to do; doesn't necessarily suggest war or the Secret Service and may, instead, have connotations of a sporting drama
• 'Return to Duty' - Mystery is created from this title as the audience are curious why the protagonist left duty and why he is coming back
