Analysing Action Film Posters - 'Back in Action'

 The third action film poster I am going to look at is for the film 'Back in Action'.

The poster contains the following typical conventions of the action genre:

• Intense title reflects the exciting genre 
• Iconography typical of action genre (guns and full black outfits to keep undercover)
• Tagline suggests deception and fast paced action
• Sans serif font creates an intense and urgent feel which aligns with the themes of action films
• Well known actors from previous action films
• Urban setting suggests the film is set in bustling city where the characters will have to stay undercover
• PG-13 suggests less violence and more comedy in the film
• Dark colours reinforce the secrecy theme of the film
