A theatrical trailer is a longer, more detailed preview of an upcoming film. Theatrical trailers differ from teaser trailers and TV spots as they provide audiences with much more detail and understanding of the plot and the characters in the film. Therefore, the purpose of a theatrical trailer is to create excitement and interest for the audience, for the film before it is released, by revealing more of the plot to engage the audience. The theatrical trailer usually lasts around two and a half minutes and they are normally released a few weeks, or even months before the film is scheduled to come out, so the film can gain more interest from audiences.
I will be looking at the theatrical trailers for the films 'Avengers: Endgame' and 'We Live in Time'.
'Avengers: Endgame' (Action)
'We Live in Time' (RomCom)
