The Instagram page for 'West Side Story' includes many posts and reels which show clips from the film, trailers for the film (teasers, theatrical and TV spots), behind the scenes with the cast/ Q&A, posters of the film with reviews on and reference to awards the film has been nominated for. Additionally, they have highlights of the premiere for people to look at and in their bio they still advertise their film as they make it clear that the film is available on BluRay and Digital. There is also the obvious stuff such as likes, comments, shares, stories, captions, highlights and a profile picture.
The Facebook page for 'West Side Story' includes a big image at the top which has reference to the awards that the film has been put up for as well as advertising that the film is now available on BluRay and Digital for people to watch. The photo section below shows images from the film with writing about nominations or reviews on them. The posts include clips from the film, behind the scenes with cast and images from the film. Likes, comments, shares, captions and a profile picture are also included on this social media page.
The X page for 'West Side Story' is very similar to the other social media pages as they have posts which include clips from the film, posters with reviews and reference to awards and behind the scenes with cast and crew. Additionally, the page has the obvious conventions such as likes, comments, replies, reposts, shares, captions and a profile picture.
All the social media pages for 'West Side Story' promote similar clips, photos and information about the film, however the layout for each is slightly different as they all follow the conventions of their platform. It is clear what genre 'West Side Story' belongs to on their social media pages as all the images/clips are of characters singing or dancing. Additionally, the iconography on the posts is typical of the musical genre and the colours used throughout the pages reinforce this. However, after looking through their social media pages it is clear that they have stopped advertising for their film as it was released a few years ago.
