Analysing Different Types of Trailers - Introduction

I am going to be identifying the conventions of the different styles of trailers which include teaser trailers, theatrical trailers and TV spots. Additionally, I will find out the similarities and differences between them so when it comes to making my own trailers for my film I will understand each better, and can decide which will be most appropriate.

I have chosen to compare trailers from the 'Barbie' film which is a comedy/fantasy film and also 'Fast X' which is an action film. This will therefore allow me to see if the conventions of the different types of trailers are similar even though the genre of the films are different.
